Process of Design - Monster Hunter World Logo | 3D Model

This album briefly shows the process of me creating the logo and making it 3-Dimensional step by step. I first started off by tracing an image of the original logo with a flat plane in Blender. Once I covered all the letters and the background symbol, I extruded all the faces to make it 3D.

I desired the edges to be smoothed out so I subdivided the surfaces, but that also messed up the overall shape of the font. I created crease areas in all parts of the logo to retain the desired shape while also keeping the smoothed sides. In the end, this is what you get, a near perfect 3D replica of the original Monster Hunter: World logo. Original design and trademark belongs to Capcom.
